Line Cook
Job Summary:
As Line Cook at our restaurant you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and direction to kitchen team members. You will be responsible to ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the restaurant’s specifications and commitment to high quality.
Duties:
Prepare daily production lists; Ensure that all work stations remain stocked before and during the meal periods; Verify that all kitchen cooks follow all recipes and portions servings correctly; On the line cooking, calling orders and staging the timing of plate execution; Maintain kitchen, counters, dishes, and storage areas clean and organised all the time; Receive products; verify the invoices and products freshness; Set excellent examples of guest / customer service and work quality; Manage staffing levels throughout the work shifts; Maintain a healthy, safe, orderly, and sanitised kitchen; Lead by example, using proper food-handling techniques; Perform other related duties as required by the Executive Chef / Sous Chef.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of federal, provincial and local health, safety and food-handling laws and regulations; Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools, including stoves, refrigerators, slicers, knives, and dish machine; Professional communication and interpersonal skills; Computer skills, Microsoft and other applications; Effective ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members; Strong organisational skills; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment; Strong problem solving and decision-making skills; Open to taking directions; work well independently and as a member of a team.
Required Training and Experience:
A minimum of 2 years work experience in a food preparation position;
Required licences, certificates and registrations:
University, College or Culinary education / training or extensive cooking and production experience; Food safe certification; First aid certification is an asset.

Compensation : Cad 19.00 / hour
Accommodations: For staff accommodation we have units on and off property, it all just depends on what’s available at the time of arrival. All units include TV, WIFI, laundry & cooking facilities and we charge $15 per day for that.
