Top 10 Cities to Find Job Opportunities in Canada by 2020

It’s not surprising that Canada has always been a leader when it comes to welcoming skilled workers across the world, and providing them numerous Job Opportunities in Canada to thrive. These days, Canadian cities irrespective of their size are doing a fantastic job in attracting skilled immigrants and creating a robust hiring environment wherein overseas professionals can easily ‘break-in’ to the Canadian job market in 2020 and for many years to come.

The BMO Labour Market Report Card for the fourth quarter of 2019 revealed that, Canada’s smaller cities are witnessing a tremendous job growth right now. Six out of 10 provinces have made to the top most places to do Canada job search and has provided many Job Opportunities in Canada to flourish. Additionally, the four largest Canadian cities such as, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary are all declined a bit from the list.

The report revealed that Brantford, Ontario is the best city for newcomers to look for jobs in Canada. Despite its small size, the city continues to make inroads when it comes to capitalizing on untapped pool of talent across the country. The unemployment rate at Brantford sits incredibly at 3.6%. Guelph, Ontario is yet another small city on the southwest of Toronto featuring a robust job growth along with population inflows. Guelph’s unemployment rate is 2.3%.

Looking at the current scenario, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that province of Ontario is performing astonishingly well, especially its smaller cities that are providing novel job prospects to those looking for affordable living options beyond the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It doesn’t mean that bigger cities do not have jobs to offer. If we dive deep into the numbers, they are still growing strong in various ways. It’s just that the smaller cities have put more efforts in creating jobs in the last few months.

Another notable thing is no Canadian province has experienced a job rate growth more than 1.9%, similarly, no province has seen a decline in employment more than 1.4%. This clearly shows how jobless rate is quite narrow and uniform across all provinces.
