There are two categories under the Tier 2 Work Visa UK

Tier 2 (General Visa) – This category is for skilled professional workers who have killed job offer and a certificate of sponsorship from a UK employer with a valid Tier 2 sponsorship license.

Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Visa – Is for multi-national employee’s who are being transferred to their UK branch. To be eligible for this visa, the employers must have a valid certificate of sponsorship from their employer.

To qualify for this visa, Tier 2 applicants must score at least 70 points on the Tier 2 points test.  In most of the cases you can bring along your spouse and children, but for that state that you have sufficient funds to support them.
